Today, Friday, August 26th, Thalia is celebrating her 40th birthday!
Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda was born on August 26, 1971 in Mexico City. Music has always been a part of her life. First, as part of the children’s band Din Din and later as a member of the popular band Timbiriche.
Her career as a solo artist took off in early 90′s with the release of her album Thalía, then followed by more and more productions, of which we can highlight Amor a la Mexicana, Arrasando, El Sexto Sentido, and Lunada.
As far as her acting career goes, no one can forget the success she had, thanks to soap operas like Quinceañera, Luz y Sombra, and of course the Marías trilogy.
She has also been a successful entrepreneur with her line of clothing, accessories, home décor and even chocolate.
She is married to music executive Tommy Mottola, 61, and the couple has two kids, daughter Sabrina, 3, and two-month-old son, Matthew Alejandro.
There is no doubt that the last two months have been hard on Thalía, who had to face the sudden death of her mother, Mrs Yolanda Miranda Mange, who was her friend and inseparable companion.
