Cat people, Do you have any idea how to take care of a cat after spaying?! Any expectations for recovery?
My 6 month old kitten is at the vet right now getting spayed. I’ll pick her up this afternoon.
I’m sure the veterinarian will give me the whole aftercare tips but I just can’t wait til then, I’d appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

Bil 3ax, 6-7 months old is a perfect age for spaying.
I read that spaying relieves a cat from the sexual frustration associated with the desire to breed. They have no emotional need to breed.
Plus there are many benefits such as: prevent pet overpopulation (hard to find homes), less behavior problems, less aggressive, and better health.
And if I let her breed at least once she might get cancer after spaying. Ya3ni feeha risk.
You did the right thing. Too many kittens in Kuwait that do not have homes.

I got Alfie neutered at 6 months as well. The vet said it’s the ideal age.
I would say tri to limit her movements, for example put her in a quiet room which has nothing tempting to jump to. The vet also told me not to feed Alfie that day. But it may be different for girls. She’ll be fine. :”)
